Great job. I like the second one also and it is an idea for the spoon and or tea bags. I have a pattern for a tea cup with a pocket on the side of it for a real tea bag, but I wasn't fond of the pattern and I was going to make a wall hanging with it, bit I tried that too and din't like it. I think the tea cup could be used for a mug rug. Sooo it is in my box of finished items. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

I used paperpiecing for the stocking and have other small paper piecing patterns I plan to use with winter fabrics so they will make nice gifts for Christmas. So try the teacup pattern you have, I've found just about any pattern you have will work, depends on how large you want it to end up. Good luck.

Love both of your mug rugs. Wanted to make some too but they aren't high enough on my "to do" list to get them done for this year......maybe after the holidays. <sigh>

well, I gave it a try and the girls on the chatting board gave me a boost to go ahead and make one, it was not a real success as I did not cut my piece on the grain of the fabric, therefore my pieces did stay straight when I sew them together. Also I had a hard time to make the border even if I followed the instructions on That Girl That Quilt. I'm not discourage, I will try another one and post a pic when I'm pleased with it
Thanks again girls for the motivation as I'm not a good quilter and only make small pieces out of them.

Love the fabric you chose. The rug is adorable.
