watson's mom 02-28-2011 09:56 AM

Thanks so much for posting your bargello. It is fantastic and I just love the colours. You have helped me make up my mind about my own. I put it on here for opinions and called it 'stalled bargello'. I still couldn't decide whether or not to leave the yellow strip in but after seeing yours I am definitely taking it out. Now I can get it finished. Thanks again. I really love your quilt.

It's one of the most beautiful bargellos I've seen. Send it my way..... I'll cherish it  I would LOVE to make one.... and I'd use the very same colors you did. Awesome! Your borders are terrific, they really frame your work.

My thoughts exactly. Also though, I was wondering if you press you seams open or to one side since they match so well? There was a whole discussion about this topic recently so this question popped into my head when I saw all your seams. Thanks!

The instructions indicate which direction to iron the seams so they fit together well.

It measures 43 x 58. (lap)
20 colors @ 9" each. Plus border/binding/back fabrics.

Thank You

That is the Alto's Quilt Cut 2. It's an excellent precision cutting tool.

My DH strongly urged its purchase at our last quilt show... originally I didn't see its value...now DH chuckles when I am using it...efficiently gets the prep work out of the way, particularly cutting angles quick-n-accurately.
