I didn't have a pattern or the ruler, just used a cardboard that comes in the charm packscut it to 3 1/2" and marked 1" on all four sides, these colors are for a quilt for my niece's wedding, i'm thinking of this pattern only larger squares, would like opinions on a whole quilt with this pattern please

that is darling, i love it. I think the original ruler comes in 2 sizes ( not positive tho), so dont' know why you couldn't make a bigger one. I havent' made any, maybe someone who has will reply and give u better advice. I do love your lil quilt tho.

I think for a larger quilt I personally would do the center in the twister then have border colored twisters around it then more of the twisters then more border colored twisters - to break up the twisters in a large quilt. I am not sure if you are following what I'm thinking here lol. I can see it in my head - like a rectangle in a rectangle in a rectangle...

or you could do twister stripes and have the border color twisters between the stripes.

You could also do squares of twister colors so that you have like a 3x3 section of different colored twisters surrounded by border colored twisters all in blocks...

I would say just start doodling and see what you think you might like :)

I also used a card template to make mine. Fun to make.

I also made a large twister. I wanted to make a full size quilt but I decided to make a table runner first to see if I liked it. Table runner turned out ok but, I liked the little twister better. I just thought the little one looked better and seemed to waste less fabric. That is just my opnion.

I hope to make a large quilt soon with the little twister.

I like it. You have done really well with just a bit of cardboard!

I love your twister and the colors are very pretty! How smart are you not buying yet another ruler! Good old cardboard to the rescue

Yes i understand what you are saying and i agree, i will have to get out my crayons and do some playing around, but i like your idea, instead of the whole quilt being twisted, now that i put it in my head it would be to much. Thank you
