My two latest projects...
2 Attachment(s)
I had a "Weird Al" flag I wanted to do something with, so I decided to make a concert blanket (I usually sit in the lawn for the cheap tickets). The fabric is a polyester suede, so hope it holds up well). I just sewed it inside out and turned it, inserted the batting, and will lightly quilt it (first time quilting with a machine, but it's just too thick to do easily by hand).
The second one is a baby quilt I made with a panel and coordinating fabric. I'll be hand quilting it, but I want to use grey thread and don't have it yet. While I'm on hold with these two, I'm cutting an apron pattern. I'm using a Halloween fabric that has "jars full of gross stuff" to make myself an apron for canning. I think it will be a fun one to use. |
Very nice job!!

Nice work.

pretty, I love the dragon one best.

Love your Weird Al quilt. My DH is a big fan of his and would love it too. The dragon panel is darling.
|

good job, very pretty

I always loved Als songs.lol. Cute baby quilt too. Can you post a picture of the canning jar fabric?
|
Love weird al! Well done!
|
I don't know Weird Al. So if you are pleased with what you did I am pleased for you. I love the second one. I also would love to see your "jars full of gross stuff". BrendaK

Thanks, everyone.
I have the Weird Al one basted, so hoping to quilt it tomorrow night (I'll quilt along the circles and the lines in the flag). I'll take a photo of the jar material, but I found it at Joanne Fabrics (they don't have it online). The jars are filled with things like worms, spiders, vampire teeth, fish skeletons, etc. I can a lot, and some stuff can get really messy, so I've been wanting to make an apron. I really like the dragon/knight/castle panel, so I bought a couple more for later. I wish my son was still little, it would have made awesome curtains for his bedroom! |

The jar fabric...
It might be a little blurry, had to resize it so I could post. I have fabric that just has the eyes (not in jars) to use for the contrast parts of the apron (bow, ties, pocket.) |
Great job. Be sure to post the picture of your apron.
|
Cute, cute, cute. Great job on both!
|
Love weird Al. That's thinking outside the box.
|
Nicely done...love the castle and little Knights.
|
Good work. I think the stone border fabric is perfect!
|
That is adorable.....
|
So cute fabric ,thanks for the picture. Gonna make a cute apron.
|
Absolutely love the castle quilt. Great job!
|
Very nice quilts, but I especially love the castle panel quilt, adorable.

I finished the Weird Al quilt tonight. Quilting goes so much faster on a machine! It was almost too thick, but it fit.
I quilted around the head, the red circles, and around the flag, in addition to the lines you can easily see in the photo. |
love the jar material

WOW, love the jars and the contents.
|
Very nice and useful too!
