It does look like it could be frustrating to piece, and some of those fabrics don't have enough contrast to make the design and secondary pattern show well. But she did well and I applaud you for quilting it. You gave it away--seem like a sweet enough pot without offering to quilt it, too. You are generous!

Love the story, so nice to see it done. You both did a great job!

Enjoyed your post immensely! I can understand your issues (all of them) with this quilt. But as usual, our trash is someone's treasure. Happy all around.

Clever way to clear this kit from your stash! And three cheers for you for acknowledging that you dit not like the quilt and moving it on to someone who would pick up where you left of and put the quilt to use.

I own an old quilt in that pattern. It is so pretty but I don’t want to attempt making one. I rescued mine at an antique store..it was really dirty. After I got it clean it is a favorite. It was hand pieced and quilted.

Pretty quilt!
Great idea to give yourself permission to move it along to someone else. Your friend did a great job. I can't imagine all that piecing either. |
That is wonderful. Love the fabrics too.

Good collaboration between you and your friends. For me, quilting is a hobby and I use the hobby for relaxing and exercising my creativity. You'll only see simple blocks from me. :p

Very pretty quilt and it is something I would not want to attempt. Your friend did a great finish and I bet you are glad it is all quilted and finished and may it live a good life in your friend's house.
