About 7 years ago I received 12 blocks from a round robin I was in. I came across them in a bin and decided to put them together, would be a waste to not use them right???? The colors would not be my first choice...and one of the colors ran when I washed it too.... poor quilt just can't get a break. LOL

Well here it is... the Ugly Quilt. LOL :)

Okay, maybe it's not as ugly as I think...it's just a little bit ugly. :)

I think it looks good.. make it a donation quilt, just a sugestion.

Blue Bell 12-30-2007 05:21 PM

Shadow,
I think that it came out great. You put it together very well. I am sure that someone will be very happy to have it.

henryparrish76 12-30-2007 05:32 PM

It looks fine to me:)

PamH 12-30-2007 06:08 PM

Ugly  I think not---I like it. I think it turned out really cute.

Flying_V_Goddess 12-30-2007 06:47 PM

Ugly? What are you talking about? It looks great!

Diamonds 12-30-2007 07:42 PM

I think it is pretty

Basket quilts are an old favorite of mine. Maybe it is not meant to stay with you, so pass it on, and it will pick a new companion.

Kyiav10 12-30-2007 08:32 PM

It's beautiful. But if you hate is so much I'll take it. HEHE Kyia

Celeste 12-30-2007 09:59 PM

Of course it's not even a little bit ugly! It seems to me if a person puts it together and it's not their preference, then it's not the beauty that others see.

shadow, i think this is a lovely quilt. i see a little of the color bleed as you mentioned. what a shame. but i still like it.

I think it has a Old Fashion Charm, Invites you to wrap up. Not ugly at all. I can see it on a Old Iron Bed .

I don't think it is ugly at all! The colors may not be your preference, but I think they all go very well together!

Knot Sew 12-31-2007 04:25 AM

I like that pattern , but I do like brighter colors, but it is a nice looking quilt

vicki reno 12-31-2007 05:22 AM

Maybe I am not seeing the "ugly" part of it for I think it looks nice, but if you are dissatisfied with it, give it to charity and warm someone else's ehart.

Chele 12-31-2007 05:38 AM

I like it! It has a scrappy look. And that block is pretty interesting too! I may have to try that one. :D :D :D

Minda 12-31-2007 01:51 PM

I don't think it's ugly. I think it is very old fashioned looking. Maybe you could try washing it again and put one of the color-grabbing sheets in the wash with it. I don't know if it would remove color that already ran, but it's worth a try.

The little bit ugly quilt has a new home!!!! A friend of mine fell in love with it and she took it home. :)

I am glad it is going to get some use and keep her cozy when she's watching television. :)

Well, I guess this is a good way to send 2007 out. lol :)

Celeste 12-31-2007 05:46 PM

Perfect! Everyone's happy, especially the quilt!

newquiltertoni 12-31-2007 06:09 PM

I think this is an awesome quilt! I don't see a flaw at all in any of it. They always say you are your worst critic....lol. I love it!

Hi Shadow:
I don't see any ugly! I'm so partial to scrappy so that appeals to me. It's nice that you used the blocks and if you REALLY don't like it, give it to an old folks home, Vet's hospital or to the local protective services agency for foster kids. I can guarantee any of these places would LOVE and appreciate the quilt. Thanks for sharing. I think it's great and, as always. the workmanship is admirable.
