Absolutely smashing! Love, love, love your use of piping. Exceptionally well done. Congratulate yourself!

Thank you for the pattern.

Beautiful!! Wonderful bag!

Awesome bag... seriously I think I paid around $80 for a Vera that's similar.

What a beautiful bag! Thanks for sharing the pattern! Looking at it and seeing that you're from Belgium, I'd say the measurements are centimetres not inches - just as a word of caution to all the Americans out there! ;)

You are all so very nice, thanks! :D

Hehe, I didn't have to overthink the fabrics too much, because I just copied those from the Vera bag ;)

I know that is Vera Bradley fabric for breast cancer as I have the exact fabric in my V.B. original DH purchased last year. You have done a marvelous job of construction. Yes, you should be proud to carry this purse and the design is
to be your favorite. :-)

Yes! That's the fabric indeed. It's beautiful, isn't it? Thanks for your kind words. The construction could be better, but I'm glad I can zip it up and it doesn't fall apart :D It is already my favourite purse, so you're right on that! ;)

That is a beautiful. My GDs has been asking me all summer to make them a Vera Bradley bag. Where did you find the pattern?

I never found any :D I just looked at the bag (online, I only own a VB wallet). I made a few documents to get you started. You can find it in the first few pages of this topic. You can do it without the zipper though, it will make life easier :D

You don't want to know the price of this bag though ... It would have been easier just to buy it :D Also, I made a lot of mistakes in the process, so that added up to the cost. If you count these out, it could be a bit cheaper than the original one, but not that much. It is awesome to be able to say I did it all by myself though. And I have a zipper! that really was a necessity for me!)

Yes, you're right :D Thanks for pointing that out!
