Interesting! Did the ruler make it all easier? Good work.

Very pretty Christmas twister.

Every time I see one of these twisters it makes me want to grab my twister - which has been sitting in the cupboard for over a year :o - and come up with something gorgeous such as that. Well done.

I apoligize for not including that in my first post. I usually remember. The Christmas squares were cut 10 square, or you can use layer cakes. The border was cut at 6 wide, so just a rough guess with 7 blocks across and 9 blocks down, and a 6 inch border, it would roughly be 78 wide and 97 long, and after cutting the twister blocks and sewing together, it is 58 by 74. I may add a dark 2 inch border just to add some width and length, sort of framing it out. Hope that answers your question.

I didn't think that I could do it either, with all previous directions that I had read, but these directions had you cut out one row at a time, so you didn't get things mixed up. After doing the first row, I realized that I could do 2 rows, and keep things straight. And now, I know that I am going to do at least one more of them. It was actually very quick and easy, once I got all the blocks cut. It would be easy with layer cakes, but I don't have access to them, and have lots of fabric to use up. So, PLEASE, anyone who has hesitated, go buy that 8 inch one, and give it a whirl. Not sure if I would do the smaller ones, now that I have done the bigger one. It does go fast, and is fun.

You couldn't do it without the ruler, which is very easy to use. When I give this back to my sister, I will get one of my own.
