My version of a Rainbow quilt for my favorite GD

Rainbow strip quilt done w/serpentine quilting lines . Purple binding and a lavender flannel backing.

Thank you all for the very nice feedback. Emma's current favorite color is purple. The rainbow colors had to be the exact order or I would gave had to change it up, so she approved the layout. A 7 year old can be very picky - ha.

Very bright and pretty. It reminds me of the Rainbow Flag for gay rights that hangs in front of the LGBT headquarters in Sacramento.

Absolutely love it. I have a niece almost ready to go away to school. This is the perfect idea of a gift for her. Thanks so very much for the idea! She is really into black and I have a lot of a black fabric with tiny hearts in all the primary colors. Perfect for the backing and binding.

It is just a curvy S utility stitch. I increase to size as much as possible and use my walking foot. I use my quilting guide rod if I need to measure spacing.
