I think that looks very good.
For that usage, unless you want to work on your binding skills, I would do what's called a 'birthing', pillowcase or envelope style. You put down the batting, then the backing, then put the top face down on top, pin well, saw most of the way around. you will need to clip the curves, then turn it right side out, press, close the opening you left with a hemstitch, then quilt. |

I've always called this an Apple Core. I tried it once and have to go back to it. Not my fav' but I will feel very accomplished if I finish. Are you hand piecing or by machine? This pattern is a gem for those who love to hand piece. Abit more involved for machine piecing that curve. Good luck. How big is it going to be?
