My weekend project: Grandma's Secret Chairs
1 Attachment(s)
My sisters and I decided that we would not purchase each other gifts this holiday and would make each other something instead. I made one for each of my sisters, I placed a small "purchased" pincushion under the fabric of the seat and inside each one I place a small angel that they can hang from their rear view car windows.

I make those little sewing baskets also. I have made large ones to fit an 18-20 in doll in the seat. I make a skirt to go on the outside of the box and I trim all around with lace. I have a picture somewheres, but right now don't know where it is. I used to make and sell them years ago, til no one sewed anymore in our area. the nicest one I made was of red velvet for a lady who was giving it to her daughter for Christmas back in 1983. So that tells you how long ago I made them.
