Don't forget to oil your machine! I'm sure it could use it after that kind of workout.

Did you use a pattern for the bibs? I am trying to make several because I have several baby gifts to give. What fabric etc did you use? Thanks for the info. I love the blue and yellow also. You are speedy.

That hummingbird is incredible. How did you do it? My mother LOVES hummingbirds... I may "steal" this idea if I can figure out the technique. :P

Way to go, CG101. That graduation quilt is really stunning. How many blocks did you make, and what size is the quilt? You must have been stitching ALL weekend. Do you ever stop to eat and sleep?

They're all gorgeous! Wish my weekends were that productive! I spent this whole weekend on my computer, switching for a job I'm doing to this board to a new computer game--OK, mostly the computer game! Your weekend was MUCH more productive. Nice job!

Wow, they are all great!! You had a very productive weekend!!
I got in a couple hours yesterday myself until my shoulder said "you will stop now". Had much more I wanted to get done. |
Nice log cabin! Humming bird is neat and the bibs are so cute. Good job. Is your sewing machine smoking?
|
Thanks to everyone for their kind comments. To answer some of the questions...
The bibs were not from a pattern, but instead I just traced around a bib, they already had, and used that as my pattern. The backs are terrycloth, and the fronts and binding are flannel. They also have a snap on the neck (as requested). The hummingbird is from a stained glass pattern, just google stained glass hummingbird pattern, and you can order one. The wings are corderoy pants, and it just happened to work out that they looked like wings. The top of blue and yellow log cabin was already completed before this weekend, so I all I had to do was sandwich and quilt it. I used 64 log cabin blocks (8x8). Thanks again, Linda |
Thank you, Catcher g., You are so thorough. And clever. Love the corduroy idea.
|
So stunning the blues and yellows always seem to look good together......an the Humming bird....sweet!
|
all are very nice
|
Gee, I spent most of my weekend sleeping ;-( Now I am thinking I better get myself sewing because these look great!
|
Boy if I could get that done in a month of week-ends I would be happy. Love the log cabin, my favorite colors. And hummingbirds are my favorite. The bibs are sooo cute.
|
Your log cabin is out of some of my favorite colors together and you have made such a spectacular example of why. Amazing job.
