After he got back we put up curtains in my sewing room which led to minimal cleaning before I got sidetracked with another project.

Chele 10-06-2008 12:45 PM

Beautiful! I hope hubby did as well as you!

mary quite contrary 10-06-2008 12:47 PM

No. But I always tease him that he isn't really hunting he is just tree sitting because he just enjoys the outdoors.

You really do have a nice sewing room and wow all that fabric. love it just love it.

mary quite contrary 10-07-2008 04:10 AM

Thank you for your kind comments. My husband would LOVE to have someone to hunt with. He is a bowyer (makes his own bows & arrows) and we have someone coming to stay to learn how to make bows.

We have a wing of our house that sits empty so come on over and we can sew all you want. Any time you are passing through Dallas let me know and you have a place to stay overnight.

My kids are grown and gone and even though I talk to them at least once a day I'm not picking up after them or cooking for them so I sew.

Bevanger 10-07-2008 08:52 AM

Beautiful work and lovely sewing room. Where do you get decorative hangers like the one you used for your calendar??

quilter1962 10-07-2008 12:18 PM

Mary

You were busy LOL :D
Love your room so bright & airy - your stack & wack is wonderful - still wanting to give it a go but the instructions I have aren't really that clear.
You'll have to send DH out to hunt more often

Mary

Sorry forgot to ask the exact same question, they are beautiful hangers.

The hanger and pattern came from Country Traditions in Fremont, Nebraska.

mary quite contrary 10-07-2008 01:04 PM

I actually started Thursday and remember it was just me and the cat and I didn't leave the house. I was pretty much ready for him to come home.

mrsj82 10-07-2008 04:53 PM

Man I wish I had a sewing room like yours! One of these days we're going to live in something other than a box the size of a triscutt and I'll have a sewing room...until that day it's in my living room...lol

Great quilts!

Wow that was one weekend???!! Are you sure it wasn't a week??!! It would probably take me 5 years to do all that, and it wouldn't turn out near as pretty as yours did!

Quilt4u 10-08-2008 01:48 AM

Love your quilts and totes. Love your sewing room. And the hangers on the quilts are beautiful. We need to come over and have a quilting day or weekend.
