The first is the table runner that I made. I did okay on the piecing, preet bad on the quilting, and just need to finish hand sewing the trim on.

One thing I read and find helpful about FMQ is that if you make a mistake that you know you want to fix, stop right away, raise the needle and go back to a point before it got messed up and restitch. Then go back later and remove the extra stitches. Just be sure to take a few stitches in place to secure the threads.

The colors are gorgeous, and your work is good, too. Don't worry about the quilting...you'll get better, and no one will complain in the meantime!! :wink: :thumbup:

That is really sharp - and nobody will ever notice your quilting wiggles - except for you! We are always our own worst critics - except for my mother - she can critique something no matter how perfect it is!!

Hi, the first thing I machine quilted was a bed runner or bed sleeve. Not a great job either, but I can't tell you how much I have learned from it. You did a fine job you may be too hard on yourself. Enjoy and showcase your work.

Absolutely right. Nobody should be looking for mistakes in your sewing. and, if they complain, don't give them a quilt. Works for me. Your tablerunner is beautiful.
