This is the main part of a quilt for the double bed in our son's guest bedroom. I made the Shoo Fly blocks oversized, then cut them down at an angle to make them 'dance'.
I'm going to do a modified quilt as you go by sandwiching and quilting this part, then doing the other parts separately and putting them together at the end. What do you think? |
Fun.....just a little twist on traditional:)

Neat idea to make them dance. Great job.
Great quilt and idea.
I love the movement in the blocks. Looks like the blocks are wiggling back and forth.
I really like your artistic idea. Also the warm colors.

The colors and the happiness of it!! |
I like how you made them dance
Love your 'dancing shoos', you certainly was thinking Out of the Box, May in Jersey
The dance movement makes it "happy". I usually see happy quilts as bright but you really made this one do a "happy dance"!
I like it. What a clever idea to make them dance.
Shoofly is one of my favorite patterns :-) Like the colors too.
