I didn't use a pattern, just made a bunch of blocks and put them together, I still need to add another row to add to the width as it is only 48 wide and 88 long. any sugestions for borders would be appreciated

I made this BOM quilt by rearranging the blocks supplied & not using them all. Maybe the flying geese would work as a border for yours.

I love yours, not sure about putting flying geese. I have not had good luck with them.

I just love samplers, and yours is beautiful. On my list.

Flying Geese were paper pieced. This was one of my 1st quilts & 1st experience with paper piecing.

I've never paper pieced before and not sure how to start, were they easy?
|
I love it! Maybe a thinner green and then a larger tan one to connect with the colors in your quilt.
|
Very easy & they come out perfect when paper piecing. I'm sure you can print out some paper-piecing patterns & look at a tutorial. They did not have the vidio tutorials when I was learning.
Found these patterns: http://www.quilterscache.com/B/Blank...latesPage.html http://www.thequiltedsnail.com/patterns/flyingGeese.pdf
