I'm making a quilt for my hairdresser. We do a barter system :)
The Shimmering Star quilt (1st one) is out of a magazine and I HATE the process of making it -- it's 20" square and convoluted in the process of putting it together. SO, I decided to change over to a sampler quilt and make them all come together. The 2nd one is from QuiltersCache.com and is called Maltese Star. It's a Paperpiecing project and was a kick to make!

Great blocks! Pie looks yummy! :)

dkabasketlady 01-31-2011 07:46 PM

Beautiful blocks!
I don't like apple pie so I guess that saves more for everyone else!!

skydiver70 01-31-2011 07:51 PM

Oh, I was really loving the blocks until I saw the pie, and I got so hungry. LOL It looks like you could just reach out and slice the pie. Mama used to make apple pies like that and my Dad always took a slice to work every night when he worked the "graveyard" shift. His coworkers called him the "Pie Man"

quiltedlamb07 01-31-2011 07:55 PM

both are beautiful quilts, and YUM to the pie.
