My wolf quilt is finished.

Thank you to those who were helping me make some of the border decisions. I weighed all the ideas and in the end decided wolves are such an important part of my uncle's life, (both real and what they stand for to him) that even if the wolf border wasn't technically the "right" choice it was for him. I am really pleased w/ the end results. The front is stacked hexies and octos, w/ 4 patch posies connecting the octos. The back is a wolf fleece. This was assembled and quilted qayg.

Maybe I'm an oddball, but I really, really like it with the border on! It's beautiful, congratulations on the finish!

.... I too like the final wolf border. It just seems to frame all the others for a perfect-choice finish! Kassaundra .... you made the "right" decision. Remember, that quilting is not about rules, but doing what is right for you, and in this case, your Uncle! Well Done! |
I really like the wolf border, it compliments the wolf bordering some of the blocks. Great use of the border print!
