Using a 6" finished block size gives you about a 60" square quilt. (cut assorted colored & white large squares @ 6 1/2", cut 9-patch squares @ 2 1/2", cut 2 squares @ 5 1/8" & cut in half diagonally for the 4 corners, cut 6 squares @ 9 3/4" & cut in quarters diagonally for the setting side triangles)

forgot to add: if doing striped fabric for the setting triangles, pay attention to the orientation of the strip when you cut them. You want to cut half each way.

Wow!! thanks from me too! It is so nice here on this board; where everybody tries to help each other! That was so nice of you to take the time to write the instructions down like this!

I'm not sure what the pattern is, but it would be pretty easy to duplicate. It's a bunch of plain squares with a some 9-patch blocks, all on point.

I agree! Draw it out on graph paper and youll see it all come together! Good luck

42 - 4-1/2" white squares
16 - 4-1/2" color squares
20 - 4-1/2" 9patch blocks (use 2" strips to make strip sets)
3 - 4" x WOF strips of striped fabric cut into 45degree triangles (9 per WOF)

Should give you a 42" to 45" square quilt.
