Her first two rows on a doll quilt. She was so proud. I am more concerned about her operating the machine than straight seams, and she will catch on fast

Oh, that is SO great! Get her started young. Her doll quilt is going to be lovely!

SUPER JOB!

mollymct 08-25-2010 06:07 AM

Oh wow!! She is doing great!!

Leota 08-25-2010 06:07 AM

I'm impressed..
she is a natural that will soar with sewing. Is she on a Pixi style machine...they tend to sew slower and have safety features not on a regular machine.
I got my dgd a Simplicity Sew Precious (only lasted one project before breaking) but the presser foot had "walls" that prevented little fingers getting into the needle.

She is doing a great job.

daniellern76 08-25-2010 02:51 PM

Awww, maybe I will get some extra fabric out and get my little ones sewing! She did great!

They show and judge quilts done by children at the major quilt shows. There usually aren't too many. Once she can put a binding on, consider entering her! It's a lovely quilt top and her seams are pretty good, especially considering her age! Be sure to post a picture when she finishes it!

Sweet! Bring back some great memories as a Girls Scout leader. And her smile definitely says it all! can't wait to see the finished product and her dolly safely tucked in with her precious quilt.

dkabasketlady 08-25-2010 04:46 PM

Your DGD is a Beauty and her quilt will be just as beautiful!!!

quilter2 08-25-2010 06:21 PM
