Okay, start posting your blocks. Everyone who posts a block today, will be entered in a drawing for some unamed prize. I am sure it will be a nice prize, as Kellog's hasn't let me down before. You may be lucky enough to win a decoder ring, or one of those cool submarines that you put in baking soda to make it raise.

Happy St. Patrick's Day & Happy National Quilting Day!
OK, I know, mine's doing dual duty....March BOM too...
What can I say, I was going to put a Snoopy dressed in green with a shamrock shirt in the center, but he just didn't look right. Had to try it tho', along with using stripes & I liked the way they worked. It is actually yellow & green, but when you take pics after midnight, you take what you get! lol

The stripes weren't as scary as I feared!

I am not worthy....

Beautiful blocks one and all...

I will post one of mine, it's for the quilt I started and realized I am not good enough to finish it at this time. Dazzler will be done sometime later this year... We must be humble at times. *L*

Why do you think you're not good enough to finish it? :?: What I've seen that you've posted looks great....or is it really that you're up to your ears in those flying geese? Hmmmm???

xyz, your parents had a heck of a sense of humor when they named you, or just not enough imagination...

I have 4 blocks done out of 56. I have two more that if this were from my wood shop, they would be named 'kindling'. I know when my abilities are not up to the challenge, so it all got put in a box, like a pizza box only deeper, and will wait till I finish the geese quilt and probably one other. By that time, my skills sewing HSTs will have improved to the point I can get back to this quilt. Of course, the headboard for the bed this quilt is being made for is sitting in the living room waiting for me to make modifications to stretch it from full to queen, and the steps in the back of the house need to be rebuilt to get it upstairs, etc., etc... Anyhow, Tuesday, yes Tuesday I'll back to work on the flying geese. I have 14 background panels done out of 32, I have 8 squares completely done, I have the borders pretty much under control... It's big project and it's getting there.

Too much life gets in the way of quilting.

It's zyx, Tim, z - y - x, not xyz. And that's what I named myself (having been told many times "How do you do that? It looks like you're going backwards!"). The one my folks named me is...

That particular block came from a book about SW quilts. I have seen the block pattern elsewhere called different things. Need more info? Send a private note and I'll look it up.
