You need a book that tells you to cut into strips, sew them together, then cut going side to side. Still have to match seams but, not sewing squares together. Much easier. I just made two Triple Around the World quilts last month. I'm with you, no quilt is ever quick or easy. I have been quilting since 1963.

trip around the world is also one of my very favorites..they are beautiful! I have made 2 and am planning my 3rd!

Jingle, I have the book, I think. I am making this quilt from instructions in it...Tradition with a Twist. I do not have the patience to do it square by square....that I know.
I still find it a lot of work. I think I may be a lazy quilter, wanting quick results. I am trying to take breaks, as many have suggested, and that has helped. I didn't even sew on it this evening, though I have a goal set as to how far I want to be tomorrow at this time. :) What keeps me going is knowing that it is going to be a beautiful quilt when I am finished! |
Keep up the good work. Very pretty colors

Keep going, you can do this. It already looks great and matching corners will give you satisfaction in the end when you can say 'I did that'. Your color combination is just fantastic and the quilt will be fantastic too.

Oh it is just devine don't stop now
|
Looks stunning! I have no patience either, but I force myself to pin at every joint minimum. It is the only way I get points to match up. Sewing seems to go faster too that way. Good luck. We want to see the finished product!
