I don't know what I was thinking! I pieced a quilt for my parents and decided to try to FMQ feathers all over the quilt top. I've only FMQ feathers on borders of small baby quilts. My machine only has 5 1/2 inches of work space. Some areas look Ok & others look more like the Lochness monster than a feather hook. This has worn me out, but I'm too far in to stop or take it out. My husband says I'm crazy that it looks fine, but I just don't know. How do you think it looks. I'm going to take a break & not touch it until tomorrow...maybe it will look better to me.

I think you are doing a wonderful job, rest a bit tonight and forge ahead!! Will watch to see the finished quilt!

Your husband is only half right. It looks great and you are not crazy. It truly does look fine and your folks will love it. We all do this to ourselves by being so critical of our work. Congrats on a great job.

I think it looks pretty but I have yet to be brave enough to even try FMQ so my opinion maybe doesn't count!

Keep going because when the quilt is complete, you'll like it.
I'm quilting a quilt right now and I'm not liking it at all.
I actually had to take a break and visit the QB. I know when it's finished and I pull it back out at Christmas, I'll like it again.
Your quilt looks fine...keep going.

You see all the mistakes. Others won't. it looks great to me. I can't even do that yet. Keep on,, :-D :-D

That is beautiful! Dont be so hard on yourself!! Your parents will love it!!

Are you KIDDING???!?!?! It looks great! A galloping horse won't see it, and neither will your parents. Hold your head high and be proud that you even attempted such a difficult task. And my bet is you learned something along the way - for me, that's what "better" quilting is; learning.

relax, it looks great and your parents will love it. I do understand how you feel, we always are more critical of our own work. Ask yourself this "If my best friend quilted this what would I tell her?"

Wish I could make something that pretty! It looks great. You are your worst critic. I tink it is beautiful
