I've seen this layout numerous times but I particularly like this one. It starts out all simple and low key but when it gets to the darker colors - especially that beige floral, it starts popping and fizzing. And then it calms back down again. And then the vortex grabs it and stirs it up again. LOVE it!

Really great fabric selection. And I like the dark brown . I think for a quilt like this you want to really frame all that energy in the center and focus the attention there, rather than the border.
A nice wide border (but then I always say that ;-) ).

Simple, subdued and elegant.

I liked the dark brown frame.

I found the floral print distracting from the center.

ITA ... simple, subdued and elegant .... and if you're heading for too wide of a border, you could lose the beauty of this master piece. If so, I'd take a pass on it for your bed quilt and finish it as an extra quilt, to have in your bed room ... or elesewhere!

I like the dark brown best.
