Hi Ladies,

I purchased this material at an estate sale yesterday. The material is cotton, about 16 inches wide and has sewn edges where both salvage edges should be. Additionally, there are dash or stitch marks around the flowers. Is this possibly dish cloth material and are the marks for embroidering?

I have no clue! But it washed up real nice and there is about 9-10 yards of it.

Thanks for helping!
Barb

I don't know what it is but it's happy fabric. Let us know what you do with it.

That is what i'm thinking but have never seen this much of it in one piece. The cloth is really nice and washed really great. My grandson will be having surgery soon and it will be a long stay in the hospital so i'm thinking I will take this with me and try my hand at embroidery. I believe there is enough to use in a quilt. Not sure what i'm going to do yet!

Born and raised in Southwest Detroit. Currently live in Roseville.

I agree that it is very pretty! I don't think that the marks are for embroidery, though. Looks like it is just part of the design. I'd just cut lengths based on the pattern and hem the ends for dishtowels.
Born in Detroit, east side, now live in the thumb.

I agree with Dish towel.

I agree, it's dishtowel fabric. You can purchase it in yardage. Someone really liked it and was going to make a lot of towels!

Grandson going to Detroit Childrens? My granddaughter is a patient there periodically for her throat. She has a paralyzed vocal cord from having a trach. She is a triplet, was a one pound preemie. Now 10 yrs. old!

Good luck to him, hope he sails through the surgery. Hugs to your special boy and his grandma!
