I don't know how or if I can get the feed dogs down on this machine. No book with it. It is a Singer 1022.

Tape a business card over them!

Yup, just tape over it, use an index card, business card, thin cardboard paper stuff.

I have a 533 I rescued on its way to the dumpster. My granddaughter FMQs on it by loosening the pressure on the presser foot. This one has a dial on the top directly over the presser foot area, no knob. It sews surprisingly well.
