Looks good. Good luck with the silent auction. As stated on another post, it seems raffles generate more money than auctions. Would you want to check into doing a raffle for the quilt rather than a silent auction?

What about putting the paws around the outside instead of pinwheels?

Do you have a piecing pattern for the paws? I'm thinking those curves might be difficult and laborious to piece. Could you raw-edge applique? Or fuse it, and do a buttonhole stitch on your machine?

Nah, now it has too much purple.

I think the W should be purple with an outer line of white and black around it on a field of white.

Make the Paws purple on white squares with the purple under the squares

I love the second one, and it will be easier to keep clean, something the moms will appreciate.

Nothing wrong with all the white. It will show off your quilting. But the purple is great too.
