Stippling is really tiny....I think it may look better with more of a meandering. Also, a different color bobbin only works well if you are doing straight or slightly curved lines. If you are meandering or doing something with constantly changing directions, you have to use same color in bobbin or it will definitely show through. I was told that by many class instructors over the years. I like the suggestions of meandering or doing the zig zag on the stripes and then doing the scales look on the alligator. That will make the gator really stand out. FUN!

Wonderful quilt. Baby & Mom will love it!
Especially like the idea of zig-zag design on the stripes.
Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Should I stipple all over then do something else with the alligator??? I am having trouble seeing this one??? oh my machine is not good at using a different color in bobbin because it shows on top..I have tried to fix this but can't...thanks for all your help!!

I would stipple all over with white thread (except for the gator). Then I'd come in with green thread and make alligator scales for the gator.

I agree with Lynnie - do the alligator in the same green, but in a design that mimics scales (but remember to use thread in the bobbin that matches the back). I'd also do an echo quilting around the alligator, too. I'd do a white all over stipple for the rest of the quilt. Really cute!
