dear all,
I put this together at on my lunch break today--I LOVE teacher work days when I can go home for lunch!

I don't like the "black hole" in the first picture, but was trying to get some contrast.

The second picture I had to overlap the plates, so I know my spacing needs some adjustment. When I pin the plates down I will have a small tape measure handy so they are more precise.

what do you think???

when I went home last night I played with it some more and took the yellow plates out and put a yellow center in. I think I like this one best.

I agree with you about the black hole not being the best look, but I keep seeing it with an embroidered smiley on the black hole. Of course, that may be because I'm an embroidery addict.

I like numbers 2 and 3...I think the novelty of #2 makes it my pick. The extra flower in the center makes it unique and unexpected.

i love the one with the flower... fantastic job!!!!!!!!!!

I like the overlap and the flower. It softens the pattern and gives more interest. Make sure you center it - as a t-shirt quilt maker, I noticed the difference side to side.
