I have several painted quilt blocks that were done by my MIL years ago. I am wondering how and what to use to make these blocks into a quilt. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I think I like the medium green color. I normally lay the possibilities along the edge of the blocks to view the differences. The darker green would really make those blocks stand out, tho. Either of the two would be good.

Beautiful quilt.

I have this image in my mind of the dark green as sashing to frame each block and then the lighter as the boarder with the middle green as a winding vine applique in the boarder.
But of course, many have told me I'm out of my mind, so.... |
I would use a med-dark green. That color is the 1 thing that all of the blocks have in common. I think these colors would pull it all together.

those are beautiful. i think using mottled prints in the vibrant, but muted color tones would look georgeous with that. or even hand dye/batiks. i would do the sashing between each block in patches, depending on how big the squares are, and divide by 3. so if they are 10" the squares would be 3".
