A young family in our area was robbed-- the wife had been in the hospital for several weeks and when the family all got home to their apt, it had been cleaned out by theives. They have a 7 month old baby! Can you imagine anything that low? Our church is helping them get back on their feet, and I needed a really fast baby quilt to give... I used some cute fabrics I had and made this:

A very sweet quilt and a very sad story! I'm glad they have people like you in their lives to help them rebuild.

love the quilt. How awful it must be for them! I hope they get back on their feet soon.

how sad...
but the quilt is adorable.

It is very sweet! A friend also shared with me a simple pattern where you start with a center panel 6-1/2" x 18'1/2" (cut) and keep adding 6-1/2" strips all the way around to make it as big as you want. Alternating light and dark colors is best.

Great quilt for a "need it right now" moment!

It's such a sad story, and I pray everything works out for them.

Thanks for your good wishes for this family. I'm sure each of you would do (and have done!) the same to help... I'm hoping they come away from this more blessed than they were before, and knowing God loves them.

MamaBear61 04-27-2011 05:10 AM
