Needing the name of this block...

This is my current quilt - it belongs to a friend of my mom's. Her mother made the top, Mom's friend started to quilt it, and I'm finishing it. I always put labels on the back of my quilts, and would like to include the name of this quilt pattern. I've never seen it before and i'm searching the usual places like quiltcache, etc...

Thanks in advance!

It looks like a variation of "Hands all around" or "Old fashion star quilt". Hope this helps:)

something like kings something or Royal comes to mind for the name.

This pattern has me stumped, too. But is sure is pretty. Thanks for sharing. I'll watch this thread, as I am interested to see what the name is.

I was asking at quilting yesterday, and no one had ever seen it either! Someone did throw at the name Crown of Thorns - but looked that up and found out that wasn't it. It is a pretty quilt.

it is called Friendship Knot, page 32, in Better Homes & Gardens "Friendship Quilting" book!
i'm sure there are many local names for this, but i discovered this last wk in that book--
yours is pretty in pink!

Nice pattern and now we know the name!

i must elaborate here--with further reading, it is also known as Starry Crown & Friendship wreath--
however, in the pattern section, it is listed as Friendship knot! so i guess take your pick!
you are so lucky to see such a classic from the Depression era........
