I love your quilt and the pattern...I only wish that I was the lucky grandson. I've made only one denim quilt and it was a baby quilt...I loved the quilt but it was difficult due to the weight. I'm sure whichever grandson gets this beauty will treasure it. And your 2nd grandson will be sure to treasure any quilt that you give him as well. Thanks for posting this inspirational beauty and sharing your pain about dealing with such a large, heavy project.

For those of you that ask why. It is tedious, heavy, hurts your hands, shall I go on? The list goes on. I saw someone else post the same reaction but oh no I just knew it couldn't be that bad. Other I go thinking again. Well it is! Take it from us we know. I am thinking of keeping this one and the grandsons can fight over it while I watch from above grinning. Thank you for all the nice complements. Any questions you can I'M me.

I just made one --used up a bunch of old jeans. I was going to make it twin size but decided due to the weight it would be more of a stadium throw. It is big enough to sit on and pull over the legs, or fold and lay out on bleachers. I've got a 2nd one ready to put the batting and fabric in then need to stitch down the "petals". I will make a 3rd one but will actually follow the instructions to make it! I figure this is the one everyone will remember--not the appliqued or pieced.

Your's looks great. You did a nice job. Whoever gets it will certainly love it.
