I've made that afgan, too. It's a great way to use up yarn from other projects. The kids really like all of the colors. Fun blanket!!

Lovely--my grandmother use to make one large granny square blanket for us when we were kids. I still have 2 of them.

Very pretty and the cat is beautiful too.

I do that all the time... I don't even need to watch what I'm doing anymore with it, so it's good to keep my hands busy! Not to mention, they're warm and snuggly even as you're working on it :)

cctx. 10-24-2011 10:49 AM

Very pretty, lots of work though.

Hey that looks great. Gives me an idea of how to use up all those half skeins of yarn I have. Gee, used to make so many granny squares way back in the 70's. Oh those granny square ponchos and vests were the bomb back then.

MommaDorian 10-24-2011 11:06 AM

Beautiful!!

Is this worked in a square? or in rows?

Jim's Gem 10-24-2011 01:11 PM

one continuous square. I hate connecting squares, take too much time sewing. So it easier for me to just keep going.
