Never ending scraps!

I swear, scraps multiply in the dark! Is there an evil genie at work? Or wait, a good genie who cuts up that box of bigger pieces?

The top one has polka dot centers (except for the light ones, I ran out of little polka dot blocks), and the bottom one is square, just laying on the floor kind of caddy whompas. Both quilts made with 8"finished size blocks

Thanks for looking.

Jingle 06-11-2017 01:44 PM

Very pretty. I made 9 kid sized quilt with scraps. Still had not used up the scraps, so I bagged them up and gifted to my Daughter. That is how I get rid of my scraps.

AVFD215 06-11-2017 01:50 PM

Very nice. I like them both.
I made 2 with my scraps, and I haven't made a dent.

Love the colors! My scrap bins fill up on their own too, it must be a quilters disease! haha

redstilettos 06-12-2017 08:44 AM

Nice use of the scraps. I am a firm believer boy color scraps get together in the dark with girl color scraps and more scraps are born. It's the only thing that makes sense to me as to why they multiply!

BrendaK 06-12-2017 12:29 PM

They both are super. BrendaK

Tweety2911 06-12-2017 02:10 PM

Wonderful scrappy quilts!

Sync 06-12-2017 03:09 PM

My theory is that scraps are like bunnies ....... they just keep multiplying ...... lol ....

The tops look really nice and the colors are soothing.

coopah 06-12-2017 05:32 PM

You do such a nice job with your scraps, Judy! Those quilts don't look like scrap quilts.
My hangars stopped multiplying, but now the scraps are multiplying like yours!

ccthomas 06-12-2017 05:46 PM

Nice scrappy quilts.

jmoore 06-13-2017 02:20 AM

Both are right up my alley...colorful and happy fabrics. I agree with you Judy about the scraps multiplying, that's why we look forward to your Mystery Train projects. : )

lorimax5859 06-13-2017 04:50 AM

annette1952 06-13-2017 10:09 AM

Great quilts! Amazing what can be made from scraps isn't it? I need to be doing the same thing. I have so many scraps that need to be dealt with. Thanks for the inspiration

Billy'swife 06-13-2017 07:46 PM

Mariposa 06-13-2017 08:54 PM

Terrific scrappies, Judy!

Vasilisa 06-15-2017 12:06 AM

Your quilts are lovely and cheerful. And isn't it good to feel that you have reduced the amount of scraps?

The scraps multiply in the dark and I can never ever get the boxes under control! :D

AngeliaNR 06-18-2017 06:32 AM

Definitely, a good genie--I never want to run out of scraps! Great quilts.

maviskw 06-19-2017 12:40 PM

I just saw this post, I've been gone. I really love that you did the partial seams on the bottom one. If you did that on the top one, it doesn't show, but those partial seams add a lot of professionalism in my opinion.
They are both very nice. My scraps would be what was left after you made those two!

busy fingers 06-19-2017 01:05 PM

You always come up with something inspiring in your scrap quilts.

Jane Quilter 06-19-2017 01:12 PM

klaws 06-19-2017 01:29 PM
