What a wonderful little treasure! I hope there's something good in there.

Wow! 4 pages of replies and no one mentioned how to get the money out. (Am I that old??) If the bank has a slot
on top, you can insert a plain knife, jiggle the bank up and down, and the coins should slide out along the knife. Used
to do that all the time with my piggy bank. Good luck!

LOL!! I was thinking the same thing! Used to do that often. Still do infact. I have an old piggy bank that does not have a "hole" in the bottom, but I still use it.

LOL I had it upside down in my hand trying to twiddle the lock and wondered if I could get the contents to just fall out. Now I know!

There's a jeweler her in town that deals in old coins as well (I've dealt with him before), so if there's anything in here worth selling, I go through him, then put that amount back in the bank. Otherwise, I'll put it all back as 'bait' for more-gotta grow my stash cash somehow! :D

That is a very cool bank. Would be funny if the keys were in there!!!

That bank is so neat and probably rare, I think it was a salesman prop or free gift if you bought a machine.

If your jeweler doesn't help you then take it to a locksmith they should be able to sell you a key to open it...they are usually just those little ones like a diary had, but some are a little more sophisticated...you might even have one somewhere in your "junk" drawer.

Love it!!

The bank itself ought to bankroll some stash for you.
