What a wonderful little treasure! I hope there's something good in there.

Wow! 4 pages of replies and no one mentioned how to get the money out. (Am I that old??) If the bank has a slot
on top, you can insert a plain knife, jiggle the bank up and down, and the coins should slide out along the knife. Used to do that all the time with my piggy bank. Good luck! |

There's a jeweler her in town that deals in old coins as well (I've dealt with him before), so if there's anything in here worth selling, I go through him, then put that amount back in the bank. Otherwise, I'll put it all back as 'bait' for more-gotta grow my stash cash somehow! :D |

That is a very cool bank. Would be funny if the keys were in there!!!

That bank is so neat and probably rare, I think it was a salesman prop or free gift if you bought a machine.

If your jeweler doesn't help you then take it to a locksmith they should be able to sell you a key to open it...they are usually just those little ones like a diary had, but some are a little more sophisticated...you might even have one somewhere in your "junk" drawer.
Love it!! |
The bank itself ought to bankroll some stash for you.
