New block to me.

I saw this block and wanted to try it out.
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/498773727455415616/ It is very easy. I made this little quilt yesterday. I had purchased flannel on sale.I use it as batting in table runners and small quilts. It occurred to me when I laid it out on my cutting table,---- why not use it as batting AND the back fabric. One of those light bulb moments. I cut both batting and back at the same time, wrong sides together. No taping down,(the back fabric) just pinned the quilt top on to both .Ready to quilt.judy j |

Think the block is called TWIN SISTERS. EB had it in one of her recent books.

Love the pattern but esp love the fabrics you used! This got me on an afternoon of looking for this pattern and found it on several sites at at least 3 different ways of constructing it! But of all I saw, I love your fabrics the best!

I love this and easier (for me anyway) than hst pinwheels. Thanks for the pattern.
|
Looks great...
|
I think if one left out the sashing and cornerstones in the body of the quilt, the blocks would appear to interlock sort of like the twister blocks. Thanks for sharing the block and the links !!
|
Nicely done

Very nice. I use flannel as batting in any quilts I will be sending to florida, that way there not too warm, and have found that it works great.
