I got a new book from Joanns and a new idea for a quilt to do.

Is that the one you're going to do 1st? Looks like a nice one. It's always fun to start a new project.

Henry, I have this book, and I've done a couple of things from it. The first thing I did was the little Log Cabin wall hanging. I also did the sampler quilt in the back. I'll post a pic of that sometime. It's a fantastic book, and really a springboard for your creativity. Enjoy it!

Yeah , Jeff and Becky ( I'm on a first name basis with the guy who cuts the cloth at night and the lady who is the cashier at night) love seeing me come in. I tell them new ideas I have and we talk while they cut my fabric or ring me up at the register. They asked me if I was coming back once I got my tax return and I said yeah so they better be ready to cut a lot of fabric :)

Oh so pretty....I'm always drawn to hearts too, they look good in any size, scrappy or planned, sliced diced or riced! Have fun!

I have this book also. Looking forward to seeing that quilt when it is done.

I messed it up horribly so I threw it away. I will try again in a few months to remake that.

what was wrong with it???

my stitching came out in some places and ruined the edges of the hearts. I had hand appliqued them instead of machine applique them.
