Watched video on how to make your border more interesting, and suggested one didn't have to stitch it down, I did on this one.

what do you mean, you don't have to stitch the boarder down?

BETTY62 04-16-2017 07:06 PM

Very nice work. Your quilt looks great. I watched the video and liked the finished look. however, it appeared to be a lot of cutting that required using very small scissor. Would it be difficult for an individual with arthritis to make this border?

What a beautiful project...it's always fun to learn a new technique.

Love the border but it does look difficult.

Sorry, I do not understand what you mean and it would help to have the video link as someone has already suggested.

Lovely quilt. That's the kind of thing I enjoy doing. Building a picture with fabric. What fun.

You need to see this process on the following website: It is not difficult, just have to carefully line up your templates onto each other.

I used the karen kay buckley - small green scissors to cut out the design, these little scissors cut right into the points - having a cerated edge the fabric doesn't move. I first poked a hole into the area to be cut out with my smallest rotary cutter.

You will find their prices are excellent, I received three patterns, the border pieces (2 pieces) and the bear with tree and berries (i piece). They also received payment thru paypal, and they Pdf'd the pattern pieces to me, so I could print them out right away. They have lots of nice patterns.

I am unclear what you are saying and the photo doesn't help me. Can you explain a little more?
