It is very pretty!

You did a wonderful job with it. It is very pretty. I, also bought an old quilt in a hexagon pattern. Fabric is very thin and fragile. It has one hexagon missing on a corner. I have search for thin white fabric, but not muslin. No luck, as the today's white would really stand out, so since I plan on hand quilting, I am leaving that missing corner as is.

A lovely labor of love and dedication. The result is just as you called it, "A New Old Quilt".

What a fabulous remake. I wonder if the original maker never quilted it because of the problem you mentioned and wasn't willing to redo it. Her loss and your gain, and the result is stunning.

Thank you all for your comments. The project was a bit of work and I have one friend who thinks I'm nuts but the end result was worth it.

Wow! I'm so impressed. I just set aside a quilt with a single set of poorly constructed borders (my own work from several years ago when I was (more) clueless)...as I just didn't have the patience! What a wonderful thing to have 'rescued' this quilt and put it together to it's best advantage. It's just beautiful, and I like the navy border, makes it look very crisp!

That’s a beauty! The navy border looks like a picture frame for this lovely antique. Your hard work certainly paid off.
