Can't tell from the picture but if it is a 1471 model - I have the same machine and I love it.

fmhall2 02-19-2012 11:05 AM

I used to have a 1473 which I, too, loved, but then when I got a 7570, I gave my 1473 to a dear friend and she now loves it. She has had it for 5 or 6 years now, and does still love it. It's a good machine.

Yep, very good condition with all the feet etc.

My Pfaff Expression 2.0 turned 1 year old this month and it's the best investment I've made. After having a Singer for the last 10 years, which I loved, but the feed dogs didn't drop and the Pfaff has a lot of other nice quilting features. The Singer was more of a "sewing" machine. Good luck with your Pfaff. I'm sure you'll love it. Can't wait to see your first project.

She is gorgeous! I love my Pfaff, there's nothing like the dual feed for piecing quilts. ENJOY!

I also have a 1471 bought in 1986 and I still use it nearly every time I sew. It is the best machine and is a workhorse, will sew over any thick fabric, love the built in walking foot.

What a beauty, happy sewing with her.

I am a Pfaff fan - I have 3, a Quilt Expression 3, Coverlock Serger, and a Creative 4. I can't imagine having anything else, but then I have a fabulous dealer to work with.

Enjoy!!

I have had a Pfaff for almost 20 years. Love it. Yours looks almost identical to one my friend has. Enjoy!

Enjoy your new toy and have fun with your new toy.....

patsynel 02-20-2012 05:53 AM

Congrats on your new Pfaff. I have had Pfaff machines for years and they are my favorite. Love the dual feed.

intoquilting 02-20-2012 08:19 AM

I own one of these machines too. (along with the other 13 sewing machines in the house) This machine is a great machine and I use it the most even though I own an Ellegante.

Congratulations on your new find. May the relationship be a fun one.

I am a big Pfaff fan--congrats on your new friend!

I inherited my Pfaff 1471 from my sister. I never sewed before. But I am addicted now. I love this sewing machine. I've gone to many quilt shows and taken classes using new machines of many different brands. But I much prefer my little work horse Pfaff 1471.

leaha 02-20-2012 10:40 AM

I too am a huge Pfaff fan, I am down to just 6 from 9 Pfaffs I have owned over the years, nothing else really does it for me, they are really great machines! Hope you have many happy years with your new workhorse. Happy stitching!!

Jim's Gem 02-20-2012 02:31 PM

I have one of those, I think. I bought mine new about 25 years ago. It was the best machine. I never had to have it repaired once with about 20 years of use.

peppermint31 02-20-2012 04:35 PM

I own 2 Pfaff 1471's. Went to a quilt retreat last month and took both. The one I started using decided to malfunction and would only sew forward in a straight line. I didn't take my book along so when I got home I looked up in the "troubleshooting" section and found what to do to reset it and WHOOPIE! it works just like new again. Was really thankful that I had bought both along so I was still able to sew.
Congratulations on your find. You will love it and they seem to run forever. Actually I bought the 2nd one so I could have another project going w/o having to change thread or feet:)))

normasews 02-20-2012 05:03 PM

Congratulations. Enjoy your Pfaff sewing machine. It's on my wish list.

annie123 04-27-2012 01:21 PM

I had this machine for many, many years until it finally gave up the ghost and could not be repaired. It sewed anything and everything. I have had many brands of machines over the years and currently have a Bernina which is great but this Pfaff was truely the best machine I have ever used. I hope you enjoy it and find it to be the long serving workhorse mine was. Coincidently I just went today to look at purchasing a second machine and the one I'm considering is a Pfaff due totally to my fond memories of this one.
