His name is Joey or Jo-Jo. He comes to both names. He's only about 10 weeks old and he's a Mini Schnauzer. He's had my poor dh on the run for the past 2 weeks, taking him out to go potty night and day, watching him every single minute. He actually went to the door and whined to go out yesterday. He's not leaarning quite as quilty as our Golden, Jake, learned but I'm sure it's because the family that had the litter didn't take any time to take them out and let them learn soon enough.

Training takes time, but is SO worth it! I have an older male who was not well trained as a pup, and it is difficult! :? |

I don't think he can bark yet, lol. I have a bell hanging from the door handle and he rang it to go out today. My other dog will say, "mama" for a treat. Sometimes it's, "OOOmama". |

how cute .....very smart dogs and very protective....my sister has one.....such a sweet heart....I would get one he is so smart.......friends have a dog that rings a set of bells that hang from the door......we have a doggie door and fenced in yard so ours go when ever......:-) ....that is a God send.....sure makes it nice......I would suggest them to everyone!.....leaves us with more time to quilt.....:-)

Start grooming Jo-Jo now and keep it up! They are easily matted. Gus HATES the brush or comb so we give him a close cut all the time. And if he's going to travel with you, get him used to the car now and take him every time the car moves. Gus was a great passenger his first summer but developed a phobia over the winter when he wasn't getting as many rides and now hates the car. Gus will soon be 8. I can't believe the years go by so quickly! |
