How cute! Did you make those or buy them?

Up North 10-16-2009 09:36 AM

I am making them. Some need another coat of paint but I couldn't wait to show everyone! I may try to make a bunch and find a craft show to attend.

There is a lady on Esty making pins like that with matching pin cushions. Very cute and pretty spendy. You should do well at the craft fair.

Made from "Crayola" air drying clay. I will spray them with a clear coat when I am done. They are so much fun to make.

I didn't have a pin cushion so had to make one to hold my pins.

RedGarnet222 10-17-2009 06:57 AM

Oh nice detail on them! There is a lady on esty that makes up sets of these. It has a pin cushion and the matching pins. Like one that is a gnome one with little mushrooms for the pins, and so on. They are kind of pricey, so I don't have a set. But just adorable!

How long did these take to make? They look really nice!

It depends on the "thing" I am making but a few minutes they I let them dry overnight before painting. It takes the longest to search the house for things to poke and push to get texture. If I sell them it won't be for such high prices that is for sure- around this area they would just walk on by!!! But adding a pin cushion is a good idea. AND I plan on adding them to the swaps I join up for sometimes.

I agree!!! They are so cute. I collect small spreaders and these remind me of them. You are so clever. I bet they will be a huge hit wherever you decide to display them for sale.
