How do you come up with this stuff? do you just sit down and begin? or do you draw it out first? Will you go back and do more now between those motifs? You amaze me.

Most times I just sit down and begin with a rough idea in my head. I don't do a mastersheet or anything. I know which style I want to use, draw some patterns and design a little, make some stencils, use the precut ones and I look through my books for ideas etc. I really don't know how this quilt will turn out at the end! My current idea is to use a wide feather border and repeat the little circles somehow.
Between the main motives in the center I'm probably going to quilt some swirls - I will see.
