New Quilts - first 3 quilts

6 Attachment(s)
I'm new to making quilts, first quilt was in Nov 2011. These are pictures of my first 3 - the first 2 are queen size, the 3rd is 'napping' size. All were long arm quilted. I envision the quilting design as I do the piecing. My 4th quilt is a OBW which I hope to post pics soon, my 5th is a Sunrise and Shadow 9 patch, I still have to add my border and take it to the LAQ shop. I so enjoy this creative release and thank you all for the knowledge, humor and inspiration!

The first quilt pattern is Labyrinth by Debbie Maddy. (in all batiks), all quilting is celtic knots.
Quilt 2 is Radiant by Cozy Quilt Designs (all batiks), quilting is feathers and stars
3rd is from the Fabric Collection: Henry Glass - Coffee Cat Cafe, quilting is swirlys

(Let's see if I got the pics loaded right :-) )

I was especially interested in the first one with the star in the center.

I absolutely love the first one, colors are great, all are beautiful, I love the lap quilt also, That gives me an idea on what to do with a panel I bought years ago but had a brain freeze on how to make it interesting. I dont think you are a beginner any more.

Thanks everyone! To showmehow - that was my first ever attempt with anything with a panel...boy did i have fits too. i cut it apart by what made sense to me then realized the panels weren't 'square' on the fabric nor were they 'square' dimensionally. after much frustration, sewing, ripping and re-sewing, my mom helped me get those little borders around it just right so it looked accurate. I think the sideways strips were 3 different sizes -maybe 2-1/2,4-1/2 and 6-1/2, sewn the entire width and then i just cut the right side off at about 8 inches to insert that 'column'.... that part was easy lol. Glad it caught your eye!
