While my DH has been on lay-off, he decided to use his time to finally redo a small bedroom for me to have a "sewing space" all to myself! This is how far he has gotten....

Like anything, if you want it, install and design it to your liking the first time. It's harder to go back and change it later. lol and good luck!

Thank you for all the good comments. I have to admit i am a little worried. I never had that much space and to design it the right way is harder than i thought. Where to put what, how big the shelving is, etc. I am just looking forward to being able to sew and not have to clear off the kitchen table every night...LOL More pics as he progresses.

Oh how fun even more special with Papa's helper!!

Oooh, ooohh, I have a suggestion!

I had a 20 amp plug put in the room with a light switch only for that plug and I plug the iron into it. That way, when I leave the room, if all the light switches are off, the iron is definitely off! I am so glad I did that, makes me feel much better. :thumbup: (20 amps because I had a steam generator iron at the time)

By the way, please give your DH a pat on the back from me; he's doing an excellent job!
