I had a set of coasters that got old and discolored, so I tossed them, but could not seem to get rid of the holder. Now it is keeping my rulers in one place.

Would you care to share some of your innovative ideas?

I did this with a letter holder and the large better for large and long rulers.

Great idea! I need to find something for mine but don't want to buy anything special. Kind of like buying a new roof- you need one but it's not a fun purchase! lol

* antique wooden butter boxes with lids added for storage boxes and/or sewing supplies box

* a brass newspaper holder that's part of a fireplace set, works perfect as a mini file holder, patterns and/or holding rulers

* diaper change table with shelves, great for fabric storage in bins or bins with WIPs, etc.
