This is a quilt I'm making for my best buddy's 60th birthday. If the concensus from friends is that she won't like it, then I'm making it for myself. It's using the new fabrics that just came out from Mary Englebreit.

What's not to like? I think it's great. I like the design and the colors!

So awesome, I just bought that book, Charmed and Dangerous and charm packs of Red, White and Bold to make a Quilt of Valor of that same pattern! I bought it on Friday!

Didn't take long at all. I cut it out Saturday morning, and I just finished it today (Wednesday). Didn't get to sew full time, though--you know, work, cooking, cleaning, and life sometimes get in the way! It took 3 charm packs, and I think I have enough left over to do a table runner.

In case you're confused, kschlenz is Harmony. Depends on which computer I'm on. Sorry.

Thanks, guys! Went to buy batting and backing tonight for this quilt. Got sidetracked ("Oooh, look, pretty!), and when I got home I discovered I'd bought the backing but no batting. It's OK, though. I just had to put off my least favorite part of making a quilt--the sandwich and basting (I'm a hand quilter).

I've been collecting the ME fabrics for about three to four years and have not made myself a quilt -- just little things. This overall design is not only pleasing to the eye, but shows off the fabric is a delightful manner. You've done a great job. Thank you for sharing. Mary E. says to put the FUN back in dysfunctional, but this quilt is NOT DYSFUNCTIONAL ---- it's all fun :)

I think it's pretty and would love to get it! I hate putting them together too. Guess that's why I have so many UFO's.
