I have been lurking around this forum for awhile. Everyone is so nice, so I thought I would share a picture of a block that I learned to make here on the forum. It's the 3-D pinwheel, even though the pinwheels are not looking 3-D--too much ironing

Looks like you've mastered that block. Very pretty.

Pretty quilt! :)

Very cute quilt! I've bookmarked the 3-D pinwheels to try myself. Now I know not to "over iron"! We all learn from one another.
Welcome to the board.

Nice Job!! I don't usually care for blue, but I really like this one!

You did a great job! Welcome to the board!

I hope I will get it finished!! I have tried machine quilting only once and the result was not very good. Next week I will take it to a few LQS and get quotes on quilting it for me. If I can afford to get it quilted, then I may have it finished this year.

Welcome to this great board. As you have already noted, there is so much talent here and everyone is always willing to help. Your quilt is stunning! Really like the royal blues and dots combination. Great job!

Oh my you did a great job on that. Thanks for sharing with us.

tooMuchFabric 08-28-2010 07:07 PM

Very nice indeed!!

Try a little light starch water on the "blades" of the pinwheels, poof them out a bit, and let them dry that way. It gets rid of the pressing creases.

Good job!

Well done. I like your choice of colours. I saw the tutorial for the 3-d wheel, and I am definately going to try it soon.
