Love the quilt! Funny that this should come across my computer this morning as I awoke thinking about my next quilt (best time for me to design and plan is first thing in the am). I'm planning on making a Sudoko quilt from my bigger pieces of scraps - a flower section, a homespun section, a 1930's section, a batik section, etc. Should be fun!
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous nine patch! Scrappy is best. |
Very colorful---Great Job. I like working with scraps too.

What a great quilt and a really good idea. I am currently working on a charm quilt and am trying to do a row everyday. I am in the swap so right now my rows are only 50 pieces. I am thinking about your idea od cutting leftovers into 3" squares. Thanks

Really appreciate your comments and good wishes. Scrap quilts are real quilts to me, as my granny only made scrap quilts and I learned from her sitting next to her on the couch when I was a young girl. I've got a few more in the works and will post when completed.
The very best way to get going on a scrappie is to keep your scraps cut into the right size squares, light with light and medium/dark with medium dark. And layed flat so you don't have to iron them prior to picking up and sewing together. |
